The Community of Women Professional Scuba Divers Indonesia
Based in Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, KP3I is made up of professional female scuba divers working towards equitability in their work environments as well as a healthy ocean.
Coming from various backgrounds and working in various diving agencies around Indonesia they are committed to promoting female empowerment and fight for improvement and action within the scuba diving industry and ocean environment.
THE MISSION
1. As a platform to establish communication and strengthen affiliation and unity. To become a safe & non-judgemental community for female professional scuba divers to develop empowerment and self-actualisation.
2. Promoting and building healthy and sustainable oceans through education and action that inspires awareness for greater impact.
3. As a community that can help to provide positive and constructive movements related to the scuba diving industry, teaching methods and social actions that can benefit the society comprehensively.
4. To present opportunities to female professional scuba divers in Indonesia to have a more active role in the diving industry.
5. To enrich the potential, quality & quantity of female professional scuba divers and direct their activities to support and facilitate the implementation of safe and responsible environmental diving.
THE OBJECTIVES
Data record of female professional divers in Indonesia.
Developing interests in scuba diving for women and encouraging women to become professional scuba divers.
Active involvement in the implementation of marine conservation and support for the government & world programs on environmental sustainability in general.
To support the development of the scuba diving and marine tourism image as positive and constructive activities.
A community that supports the implementation of a conducive environment in the scuba diving industry by emphasising the principle of equality and non-discrimination.
Establishing trust and understanding between women and the people we work with, promoting co-operation and support between women and men, and fostering collaborations by taking account of diversity on making our community valuable to all.

Like a sea breeze.
What are the fondest memories from your upbringing that you feel impacted your life choices and lifestyle today?
We all love ocean activities and we care about its continuity.
What/who currently inspires you?
People who are focusing on women action and environmentalist community.
What would you most like to change in the world/environment today?
As a community, we have been involved with many environmental actions and we are doing our best to share our knowledge and expertise to make a sustainable ocean. We plan to continue the effort as saving our ocean is one of our focuses as a community.
What brings you the most joy?
Days when we do scuba diving, coaching, doing ocean environmental action.
What legacy do you hope to leave?
We hope that what we do so far can make a good impact or at the very least, we can help to make the world better.
