Learning to sail at a young age set George on a path to ocean conservation. Ingrained with a deep respect for the ocean and an understanding of the measures we need to take to protect it, George is on a mission to motivate people and organisations to change their attitudes to plastic use and the effects they are having on the planet.
Who/what currently inspires you?
Many people inspire me. A lot are YouTube creators, as I love to see what creative ideas they come up with such as Max Fosh and on the environmental side, I've always followed the Gili Eco Trust and the work they're doing.
What would you most like to change in the world/environment today?
I would love to motivate even more people to make daily changes in their lifestyle with the plastic usage but linking to that, I want to commute with large organisations about ways we can stop them using vast quantities of plastic.
What legacy do you hope to leave?
I hope to have many stories to my name and to have inspired many people to look after the world we live in.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to follow their dreams as an ocean Storyteller?
Just pick up a camera and create. It doesn't have to be perfect first time, just go for it
